Psychological Assessments

We provide evidence-based assessments for ADHD, Autism, Learning Difficulties, and other concerns. Our unique two-step approach ensures that families receive comprehensive reports tailored to NDIS and educational needs.

Some of our specific assessments include:

  • Functional assessment (psychosocial): Often covered by NDIS funding, this assessment provides a comprehensive view of your child’s daily living and social skills. Please contact us for more information and to explore funding options.

  • Autism assessment: Focused on evaluating social interaction, communication, and repetitive behaviours, particularly where social difficulties and restricted/repetitive behaviours are a concern.

  • Intellectual assessment: Designed to assess your child’s cognitive abilities and identify areas for potential development.

  • Learning difficulty assessment: Provides clarity on specific learning challenges, including Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, or Dyscalculia, to help guide appropriate educational support.

  • ADHD assessment: Evaluates symptoms related to attention, concentration, hyperactivity, and impulsivity, exploring potential neurodevelopmental differences.

We also offer additional assessments for other emotional and behavioural needs.

NDIS Support

We are a registered NDIS provider in Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living for children and adolescents and adults.

Our reports are comprehensive and collaborative, designed to clearly outline your child’s functional needs. Many of our clinicians hold dual qualifications as registered Psychologists and certified Behaviour Support Practitioners. Please note that currently we do not offer services under the line item ‘Behaviour Support.’

Please enquire further if you would like to know more about workshops we can provide for your organisation:

Accidental Counselling: A 2-hour trauma informed workshop that provides a background of child development and practical strategies to manage unexpected and difficulty conversations for at risk children and young people. We have delivered this workshop to schools and allied health practices and have received very positive feedback for the impact of the course on staff who have attended.

Screen Addictions: Hooked and Hoodwinked: An overview of the current impact of excessive technology use on children and young people that helps parents and educators understand how the brain is easily wired to addiction and practical strategies to maintain a balance in harnessing the benefits of technology without being exposed to the cost of overuse and engagement in problematic content.

Angry Boys: A workshop targeted at helping parents, educators and health professionals understand the concept of anger, its expression, how it can benefit us but also how important it is to manage effectively. Practical strategies are provided in particularly working with boys and young men with behavioural issues and problematic anger.

  • Emily Cobb, Coordinator Teaching and Learning, Moree Christian School

‘See Hear Speak Psychology delivered a fantastic, evidence-based professional development to our staff on the Accidental Counselling and Child and Adolescent Anxiety. In these sessions, our teachers found it extremely relevant with practical implications for the classroom and teaching. They were engaging, providing two relaxed yet informative sessions, where we were able to focus on student wellbeing and mental health. Our staff found the two sessions the most beneficial from our Professional Learning this year and they left feeling better equipped and more empowered to support their students and school families. We look forward to getting See Hear Speak Psychology back in the future to speak to our parents and our Senior students and we would not hesitate to recommend these sessions to other schools.’

  • Dr Catherine Hollier, General Practitioner

'It was great to have someone 'on the ground' to give us a broad picture of what is happening regarding the impact of screen addictions. Andrew was down-to-earth, engaging and knowledgeable in his presentation. We all have personal experience of kids demanding screen time, and it was motivating to have good reason to limit that time, particularly for younger children.'

  • Victoria Bonsor, Stage 6 Leader, Belmont Christian College

'This workshop was both insightful and empowering, offering practical strategies for managing stress, handling heightened emotions, and staying motivated. The focus on self-care practices and approaches to dealing with depression and anxiety provided valuable tools for enhancing student personal wellbeing.'
